Deputies Arrest Man Suspected in Mission Viejo Murder

In custody is Adam Ingala-Whiting, 21, of Oceanside.

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested the man they believe is responsible for the death of a Mission Viejo man found in his apartment last week.

Investigators arrested Adam Ingala-Whiting, 21, of Oceanside, according to a Orange County Sheriff’s Department press release. Ingala-Whiting was detained and subsequently arrested in the north San Diego County area.

He is suspected is suspected of being involved with a physical altercation with Francesco “Joey” Bonomolo, 47, in his home at the Vista Real Apartments at 27260 Los Altos on May 4, officials said.

Investigators are not releasing the cause of death, although an autopsy was completed last week.

“Investigators are continuing to pursue information and examine evidence recovered from the scene,” the press release states.

Ingala-Whiting is currently in custody in lieu of $1 million bail, officials said. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
