An Orange County Sheriff's Department deputy crashed with another vehicle around 5:25 p.m. Monday.
The unnamed deputy was driving east on Alicia answering a non-emergency call for service, according to the OCSD twitter feed. The deputy is being treated at a local hospital.
California Highway Patrol will conduct the accident investigation.
The accident was about a quarter-mile from where Deputy Adewale Olukoju crashed in June. An investigation into his accident is still ongoing.
