Fire at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club Restaurant

A chimney fire set ablaze O'Neill's Restaurant at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club Thursday night.

A chimney fire got out of hand and burned decorative framework at O'Neill's Restaurant at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club Thursday night. No injuries were reported, authorities said.

At 8:34 p.m., firefighters received word of the fire, which began inside an indoor/outdoor fireplace away from the restaurant's kitchen, one firefighter said.

By 10:30 p.m., 30 firefighters had put out the fire, according to the Orange County Fire Authority. Damage estimates will be released Friday, the OCFA said.

One Yelp review described a "wood burning stone fireplace" outside the restaurant.

Chef Jeff Platt took the helm at O'Neill's in July 2009, introducing an eco-friendly menu and several green restaurant practices.
