Woman Suspected of Muirlands Chase Bank Robbery Arrested

Police suspect Yvonne Marie Hernandez held up a Chase bank in Mission Viejo last month.

A woman suspected of robbing a Mission Viejo bank last month was in federal court yesterday.

Police arrested Yvonne Marie Hernandez, 45, Friday night at her prior home in Montebello based on a phone tip, said Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

Because she was previously convicted of bank robbery, Hernandez has been turned over to federal marshals and will be tried in federal court, Amormino said.
