Golfer Tees Off on Other Casta del Sol Golfers

He thought they moved his ball, according to police.

A 46-year-old Mission Viejo man is accused of attacking two golfers, saying they moved his golf ball, said Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino.

About 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Michael Sean Payne argued with two other men who he thought moved his ball on the 18th hole, Amormino said.

"He became enraged, punched one of the victims in the face and hit the other with his golf club in the shoulder area," the spokesman said.
