Hacked Phone Cost Caller Thousands

What crime incidents were reported in your neighborhood? Find out here. The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Dec. 13-16.

A resident from the 23300 block of Madero told police someone possibly hacked into their telephone line, racking up thousands of dollars in phone bills in the process.

The fraud report was made at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday.

Narcotic violation. 6:15 p.m. Thursday. 21700 block Darrowby.

Stolen vehicle. 5:13 p.m. Thursday. 100 block Civic Center.

Vandalism report. 8:52 a.m. Thursday. 26800 block La Alameda.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 9:57 p.m. Wednesday. Vis Del Lago and Marguerite Parkway.

Brandishing a weapon report. 1:26 p.m. Wednesday. 26400 block Cortina Drive.

Disturbance. 10:23 a.m. Wednesday. Via Linda and Los Viveros. Sheriff's deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 24-year-old man and took him into custody at Central Men's Jail on $100,000 bail after a caller reported him for kicking her vehicle.

Traffic stop. 10:37 p.m. Tuesday. Chrisanta Drive and La Paz Road. A 26-year-old landscaper was arrested during a traffic stop and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Disturbance. 7:17 p.m. Tuesday. 27700 block Santa Margarita Parkway. A caller said a group of kids were walking up to people and videotaping them outside a Ralphs.
