Man Caught Soliciting Sex in Mission Viejo

What crime incidents were reported in your neighborhood? Find out here. The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Sept 9-11.

A man in his 70s, wearing a crème-colored golf hat and driving a blue Toyota Avalon, was soliciting sex near the intersection of Vista Del Lago and Los Alisos Boulevard, a caller told police.

The suspicious person report was made at 6:19 p.m. Sunday.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 8:01 a.m. Tuesday. 21600 block of Marguerite Parkway. A caller said a man wearing a Denver Bronco’s hat and a gray shirt was looking into vehicles as he walked around the parking lot.

Prowler. 3:48 a.m. Tuesday. 26300 block of Bodega Lane. A resident reported someone shaking the door, possibly trying to enter the house.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 11:40 p.m. Monday. 25200 block of Marguerite Pkwy. A store clerk claimed to hear footsteps on the roof, thinking it might be two kids who attempted to use a gift card in the store earlier.

Assist outside agency. 2:10 p.m. Monday. 23700 block of San Esteban Drive. Sheriff deputies arrested a 33-year-old man and took him into custody at Orange County Jail with no bail set.

Warrant arrest. 9:57 a.m. Monday. 22700 block of Orense. A 38-year-old woman was arrested for an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 11:53 p.m. Sunday. 23700 block of Aventura. A caller said a teenage boy was sleeping on the curb.

Disturbance. 2:38 a.m. Sunday. 23300 block of Via Arevalo. Sheriff deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 37-year-old man and took him into custody at Central Men’s Jail where he was released after posting bail.

Disturbance. 11:43 p.m. Saturday. Marguerite Parkway and Felipe Road. A caller said a man ran out into traffic and kicked her vehicle.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 7:05 p.m. Saturday. 27300 block of La Paz Rd. A caller asked sheriff deputies to check for a scruffy-looking man who they saw come out of the women’s restroom.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 4:44 p.m. Saturday. 21600 block of Marguerite Parkway. A caller asked police to check for three people wearing camouflage pants and bandanas over their faces whom they saw carrying a sniper rifle on the Oso Creek trail.

Disturbance. 2:41 a.m. Saturday. 24700 block of Tabuenca. Sheriff deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 24-year-old man and took him into custody at Orange County Jail where he was released after posting bail.

Traffic stop. 1:24 a.m. Saturday. Alicia Parkway and Althea Avenue. A 23-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Narcotic violation. 10:54 p.m. Friday. Alicia Parkway and Muirlands Boulevard. A 38-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody at Central Men’s Jail on $20,000 bail.

Disturbance-family dispute. 9:26 p.m. Friday. 26500 block of Loma Verde. Sheriff deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 45-year-old man and took him into custody at Orange County Jail where he was released after posting bail.

Follow up report. 7:09 p.m. Friday. 25500 block of Jeronimo Road. Sheriff deputies doing a follow up report arrested a 30-year-old man and took him into custody at Central Men’s Jail where he was released for undisclosed reasons.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 7:17 p.m. Friday. 26500 block of Oso Rojo. A caller asked police to check for a man wearing a blue striped shirt and gray shorts who “just doesn’t belong in the area.”
