Man Cut Overalls into Shorts with Large Knife

The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from May 24-26.

A caller reported a man wearing jean overalls and a white shirt near the train station, brandishing a large knife as he cut off his pant legs.

The call was made around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of I-5 and Crown Valley Parkway.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 1:27 p.m. Thursday. 200 block of California Court.

Traffic stop. 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Via Viento and Montanoso Drive. A 42-year-old landscaper was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Orange County Jail on $2,500 bail.

Suspicious vehicle. 4:49 a.m. Thursday. 25700 block of Taladro Circle.

Shots heard-no suspect information. 12:43 a.m. Thursday. 27100 block of Soledad.

Disturbance. 11:29 p.m. Wednesday. 22300 block of Estallens. Police responding to a disturbance call arrested a 63-year-old man who is currently in receiving.

Disturbance. 10:39 p.m. Wednesday. 26400 block of Via Juanita.

Burglary in progress. 4:21 p.m. Wednesday. 24700 block of Eloisa Drive.

Disturbance. 8:16 a.m. Wednesday. Oso Parkway and Marguerite Parkway. A caller said the driver of a gold Toyota 4-Runner, wearing aviator sunglasses and a blue shirt, was blaring loud music and punching his steering wheel

Suspicious person/circumstances. 12:54 a.m. Wednesday. 24400 block of Sadaba. A resident said a hysterical woman knocked on his door and said that she thought a dark shadow was following her.

9-1-1 hangup. 8:02 p.m. Tuesday. 24100 block of Delphi Street.  Sheriff's deputies arrested a 47-year-old woman and placed her in custody at Orange County Jail and was released when she posted bail.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 7:03 p.m. Tuesday. 27700 block of Medical Center Road. The parent of a six-year-old boy told police that a 15-year-old kid renting a room in the same apartment complex assaulted their child and also touched his private parts.

Hit and run felony. 4:23 p.m. Tuesday. La Paz Road and Muirlands Boulevard. A caller said the driver of a black truck hit a 14-year-old boy riding his bike, then fled the scene.  The caller added that the rider was able to get back up.
