Flasher In Hospital Garb Disturbs Diners

The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from June 3 to June 7.

A man with a heart monitor, wearing a green and gray tank top with medical scrub pants was exposing his genitals through his ripped scrubs to patrons at a nearby restaurant, a caller told police.

The man who left the hospital after refusing medical aid was also reported hitting people’s windshields, telling them their cars would explode.

The disturbance call was made at 8:09 p.m. Friday from the 27700 block of Medical Center Road.

Burglary alarm-audible. 8:59 a.m. Tuesday. 25900 block of Corriente Lane.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 10:53 p.m. Monday. 27100 block of Huerta. A resident reported a 19-year-old man going around the neighborhood asking for a lighter.

Traffic stop. 9:42 p.m. Monday. Calle Alcala and La Morita Drive. A 24-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail with no set bail amount.

Traffic accident-non injury. 5:58 p.m. Monday. Alicia Parkway and Olympiad Road. Sheriff's deputies responding to a traffic accident arrested a 68-year-old man and placed him in custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Assist outside agency. 9:44 a.m. Monday. 25300 block of Remesa Drive. Sheriff's deputies arrested a 46-year-old man and placed him in custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Pedestrian check. 11:51 p.m. Sunday. 28000 block of Marguerite Pkwy. A 32-year-old man was arrested during a pedestrian check and was placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $2,500 bail.

Drunk driving. 8:17 p.m. Sunday. Alicia Parkway and Trabuco Road. A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and was placed into custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Robbery in progress. 12:06 p.m. Sunday. 24000 block of Alicia Parkway. A caller said a man stole money from the tip jar at a coffee shop and pushed a child on his way out before driving off in a black Honda Civic.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 9:17 a.m. Sunday. 27800 block of Chipiona.  A caller said a group of kids practicing their graffiti skills before tagging a wall left a backpack containing marijuana.

Burglary in progress. 2:41 a.m. Sunday. 26900 block of La Alameda. A resident said a man wearing all black and driving a white sedan broke into several vehicles and stole an iPod and a GPS unit from one of the cars.

Patrol check. 10:14 p.m. Saturday. Valpariso Drive and Rabida Circle. A caller said kids wearing ninja costumes were harassing people walking their dogs and doing inappropriate things with a light pole. 

Disturbance. 5:23 p.m. Saturday. Olympiad Rd and Jeronimo Road. A caller asked sheriff's deputies to check for seven kids who appeared to be under the influence of drugs because they were tripping all over the place and over each other.

Vandalism in progress. 1:26 p.m. Saturday. Muirlands Blvd and La Paz Rd. Sheriff's deputies arrested a 47-year-old construction worker and placed him in custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released, after being caught dumping seven large boxes of trash and a couch.

Traffic stop. 2:02 p.m. Saturday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Trabuco Road. A 56-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was placed in custody at Central Men’s Jail on $1,000 bail.

Unknown trouble. 3:06 a.m. Saturday. 23700 block of Calle Hogar. A 24-year-old woman was arrested and placed in custody at Orange County Jail and was released when she posted bail.

Traffic accident-non injury. 10:45 p.m. Friday. San Rafael Drive and Vicenza Court.  Deputies responding to a traffic accident arrested a 48-year-old woman and placed her in custody at Orange County Jail. She was released when she posted bail.

Assist outside agency. 10:46 p.m. Friday. Jeronimo Road and Los Alisos Boulevard. A 59-year-old man was arrested and placed in custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Shots heard-no suspect information. 10:28 p.m. Friday. 26400 block of Jacinto Drive. A resident reported hearing more than 20 gunshots in the area, but was later told they were from fireworks, part of a nearby wedding.

Disturbance-family dispute. 5:24 p.m. Friday. 26500 block of Alicante Drive. Sheriff's deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 25-year-old woman after she swerved her car towards the caller. The 25-year-old was placed in custody at Orange County Jail and was released when she posted bail.
