Man With Pills Walks Into ER

What crime incidents were reported in your neighborhood? Find out here. The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Aug 9-11.

A doctor asked sheriff's deputies for assistance after a 31-year-old man that appeared to be under the influence of drugs walked into the emergency room of Mission Hospital at the 27700 block of Medical Center Road, carrying the same kind of pills that he might have ingested earlier.

The call was made around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Traffic stop. 6:31 a.m. Thursday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Trabuco Road.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 2:11 a.m. Thursday. 27200 block of Nubles.

Petty theft. 12:16 a.m. Thursday. 25500 block of Jeronimo Road.

Assist outside agency. 8:47 p.m. Wednesday. 26300 block of Estanciero Drive. Sheriff deputies arrested a 44-year-old man and took him into custody at Central Men’s Jail on $15,000 bail.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 3:06 a.m. Wednesday. 26100 block of Del Rey. A resident said they saw a woman drive into a driveway causing a loud bang. The woman then got back into her car and drove away, the caller said.

Disturbance. 2:11 a.m. Wednesday. 25500 block of Jeronimo Road.  A caller asked deputies to check for a woman with blonde hair and wearing a black dress standing next to a convertible Mazda Miata who was yelling and cursing at everyone who walked by.

Traffic stop. 1:31 a.m. Wednesday. Marguerite Parkway and College Center. A 23-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was taken into custody at Central Men’s Jail with no bail set.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 9:49 p.m. Tuesday. 27600 block of Napoli Way. A caller said people were throwing eggs at passing vehicles, possibly coming from a nearby school.

Hit and run parked car. 8:35 p.m. Tuesday. 22100 block of Bande. Deputies responding to a hit and run report arrested a 52-year-old man and took him into custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Welfare check. 8:05 p.m. Tuesday. 27800 block of Aberdeen. Deputies performing a welfare check arrested a 22-year-old man and took him into custody at Central Men’s Jail on $15,000 bail.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 4:06 p.m. Tuesday. Olympiad Road and Alicia Parkway.  A business owner asked police to check for an older model van with red and gray stripes, occupied by two men in their 30s, after they parked right behind his restaurant.
