Man Working On ATM Raises Suspicion

What crime incidents were reported in your neighborhood? Find out here. The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Jan. 6-10.

A caller asked deputies to check on a man with white hair who drives a white Chevrolet near the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Doctor Guevara Way after they saw him block off the drive-thru portion of a nearby bank with two orange cones while he tinkered with the ATM.

The suspicious person report was made at 11:54 a.m. Sunday.

Pedestrian check. 3:39 p.m. Monday. 26600 block Las Tunas Drive. Deputies arrested a 30-year-old man and took him into custody at Central Men's Jail on $15,000 bail.

Traffic stop. 11:45 p.m. Sunday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Oaktree. A 27-year-old man was arrsted during a traffic stop and taken into custody at Central Men's Jail on $100,000 bail.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 9:35 p.m. Sunday. 22800 block Briarcliff. Deputies responding to a suspicious person report arrested a 32-year-old man and placed him into custody at Central Men's Jail on $10,000 bail.

Disturbance. 5:09 p.m. Sunday. Crown Valley Parkway and Jardines. A caller said a man got off his car and started beating on the window of a silver Honda, possibly due to road rage.

Vandalism report. 10:55 a.m. Sunday. 24200 block Augustin Street. A caller said a boy riding in a black Lexus cracked a window on their car by pelting it with a rock.

Pedestrian check. 9:05 p.m. Saturday. 21800 block Viso Lane. A 20-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was taken into custody at Central Men's Jail with no bail set.

Drunk driving. 11:56 a.m. Saturday. Marguerite Parkway and Avery Parkway. A caller said the driver of a white Toyota Camry was smoking drugs and waving his water pipe out of the sunroof and windows of his car.

Traffic stop. 12:52 a.m. Saturday. Jeronimo Road and Obrero Drive. A 31-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Traffic stop. 11:25 p.m. Friday. Marguerite Parkway and Via Escolar. A 36-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was taken into custody at Central Men's Jail on $100,000 bail.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 8:53 p.m. Friday. El Retiro and Nubles. A caller said they could see someone trying for open doors near the portable classrooms at Carl Hankey Elementary School.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 3:07 p.m. Friday. 26000 block Camino Adelanto. A resident said a person sitting in a black Honda, that was parked in front of their home for over an hour, was smoking with a sweater over their head.
