Mission Viejo Captain Named Firefighter of the Year

Fire Captain Brent Anderson of the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) has been named Mission Viejo’s top 2013 OCFA Employee of the Year.

Captain Anderson, who has served Mission Viejo for nearly two years, is known for his leadership skills, dedication and vast experience.

He supervises the “A” shift at Orange County Fire Authority Station 31 on Olympiad. Captain Anderson is responsible for ensuring prompt, courteous and professional responses from the crews of Engine 31 and Medic 31. He is also charged with station and equipment readiness and maintenance as well as providing education relating to fire and life safety to public.

“Captain Anderson has gone over and above to ensure the life safety of the residents of Mission Viejo,” said Fire Battalion Chief Devin Leonard.

Captain Anderson will be recognized along with the top Orange County Sheriff’s Department and City employees of the year at a City Council meeting in February.
