Burglars broke into two businesses this morning near Saddleback College, according to the Sheriff's online blotter.
At 10:20 a.m., police were called about a break-in at Papa John's Pizza on Marguerite Parkway. Police were dispatched 26 minutes later.
Police were told the safe was empty and the money was gone. A worker later said only the till was robbed, "so it wasn’t really that much."
Another police call came in at 7:03 a.m. Someone noticed a broken window to the left of a Subway restaurant. "Looks like someone broke in," according to the caller.
Subway workers said their store was not robbed, but a nail salon in that center was. Attempts to contact the nail salon Thursday afternoon were unsuccessful.
Police Sgt. William McGovern said he had no information on either break-in.
