Pedestrian Killed by Vehicles on Alicia

A man was struck by multiple vehicles and pronounced dead on the scene Friday morning.

Multiple vehicles struck and killed a man walking on Alicia Parkway early Friday morning.

Deputies and paramedics were called to the scene at 6:25 a.m. Two cars had stopped after striking the pedestrian, a 39-year-old man. He was pronounced dead at the scene, said Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Joe Balicki.

Balicki said there may have been other cars that struck the man in the eastbound lanes but were unaware what happened because of the dark, rainy conditions. The accident happened near the intersection of Alicia and Coronel Drive.

Investigators were out at the scene with lanes shut down well past 10 a.m. Friday, Balicki said.
