Photos: The Bank Robber Behind Mission Viejo School Lockdowns

On Tuesday, Mission Viejo High School, La Paz Intermediate, Linda Vista Elementary and Esperanza were locked down when police thought they had a bank robber on the loose. Details below.

Mission Viejo police believed they were chasing a bank robber when they , said Orange County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Sandi Kirsch.

Now photos of that bank robber have been released. Wearing a gray beanie, a gray plaid shirt and facial scruff, the man in the above photos robbed two Irvine banks Tuesday morning, said Lt. Julia Engen with the Irvine Police Department.

At 10:50 a.m. Chase Bank on Quali Hill Parkway in Irvine was robbed. Then Comerica Bank on Irvine Center Drive was robbed about thirty minutes later, Engen said.

In both cases the man showed no weapon, but verbally demanded money.
