Police Calls: 2 Elementary Schools Vandalized

A rundown of calls to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Monday

  • Glen Yermo Elementary was vandalized, according to a 6:42 a.m. call to police.
Sunday
  • A woman was seen walking in lanes of the 5 freeway near Crown Valley Parkway around 8:20 p.m.
  • A green Honda Accord was reported stolen from the 100 block of Winterberry around noon.
  • A man said he was attacked by someone he knew on the corner of Santa Margarita and Los Alisos, according to a call that came in around 1 a.m. Reed Hallett, 19, was arrested and held on $25,000 bail.
  • A caller spotted vandals in action at Oxford Preparatory Academy around 9:15 p.m.
