Police Calls: Burglary Suspect Caught on Camera on Althea

A rundown of calls to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department from Thursday, Sept. 5.

Thursday

  • A woman asked police around 4:15 p.m. to smash her car window to get her dog out of her locked Toyota Matrix. The call came from the 25500 block of Marguerite Parkway.
  • A caller reported around 3:30 p.m. that her gold BMW was damaged at the Mission Viejo Plaza Carwash.
  • A CPS worker reported a 4-year-old girl had marks "all over her body from being hit by her mother" around 3 p.m. on El Retiro.
  • Skateboarders told to leave the parking area off Mustang Run refused, a caller said around 2 p.m.
  • A middle-aged man at Saddleback College was "causing a disturbance and yelling at any staff member he can find," the blotter said around 10:20 a.m. The caller asked police to escort him and another man off the campus.
  • Mission Hospital reported a female patient threatening to jump out the window around 8:30 a.m. The patient was described as 23, with brown hair and a pony tail.
  • A burglary suspect was allegedly caught on video at 25500 block of Althea Avenue, a caller said around 7:30 a.m.
