Police Calls: Workers Dig Up Possible Human Bone from Fire Pit

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department October 7-10.

Thursday

  • A red Yukon slowed traffic around 7:15 a.m. as it was stuck in the left turn lane on Felipe at the Oso intersection.
  • A burglary was reported at the Mission Viejo mall around 6:45 a.m.
  • A 21-year-old woman was arrested following a single-vehicle traffic collision at the Olympus Drive/Jove Court intersection around 12:20 a.m.
Wednesday
  • A vehicle was facing the wrong way following a traffic accident at Alicia and Charlinda around 11:20 p.m.
  • A Civic Center manager was told a woman in the restroom had a needle in her arm, according to a report made around 11:15 p.m. from the 25400 block of Marguerite.
  • A tree fell outside Mission Hospital around 10 p.m.
  • Two televisions were reportedly stolen around 8 p.m. from the Target on Jeronimo.
  • A man was caught shoplifting at Mission Ranch Market on Los Alisos around 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday
  • Two people on a red and white motorcycle were allegedly drunk at the Jeronimo/Alicia intersection around 10:45 p.m.
  • A 29-year-old woman was arrested following a traffic stop made at Alicia and Via Fabricante around 4:39 p.m. Rose Elizabeth Zollo remains in custody at Central Womens Jail on $15,000 bail.
  • A man walked around cussing with a cut on his forehead at a center at the Via Burgos/Alicia intersection around 3:15 p.m.
  • A 55-year-old woman called 9-1-1 saying she had too much to drink and needed a ride. The call came from the 28900 block of De La Luna Drive at 2 p.m.
  • While tearing up a concrete fire pit in the back yard, workers thought they discovered a human bone around 9:30 a.m. on the 28500 block of La Noche.
