Prowler Suspect Arrested North of Lake Mission Viejo

A 28-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday morning after deputies received warning of a prowler in the neighborhood north of Lake Mission Viejo.

Deputies arrested Jose Antonio Bedolla after a resident from the 28400 block of Munera called to complain of a prowler at 3:53 a.m. Munera is a small residential road off Melinda Road between Melinda Park and the Youth Athletic Park.

Here are more calls made from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department over the past 24 hours:

  • A 25-year-old showed up at t he house of a resident on Los Banos saying he had just been beaten up.
  • A Topanga resident complained of a male prowler in the back yard. The caller had just moved in and said the prior owners said the man is homeless, but "he always does this."
  • A cab driver called police after a passenger refused to pay on the 2500 block of Marguerite Parkway.
  • Someone recovered a lost cell phone at the mall.
