Resident Reports Man Searching For Unlocked Doors on Marguerite

What crime incidents were reported in your neighborhood? Find out here. The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Dec. 20-23.

A resident from the 21600 block of Marguerite Parkway asked police to check for a man in his early 20s with blonde hair, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, that unsuccessfuly tried to open his locked door. The caller said he proceeded to the next door neighbor's home and opened her door, making her scream.

The caller said the man appeared under the influnce of drugs.

The suspicious person report was made at 7:24 p.m. Wednesday.

Suspicious vehicle. 4:22 a.m. Friday. 27400 block Los Banos.

Pedestrian check. 9:11 p.m. Thursday. Cervantes Lane and Via Viento. A 29-year-old man was arrested during a pedestrian check and was taken into custody at Central Men's Jail on $15,000 bail.

Petty theft. 6:40 p.m. Thursday. 27000 block Crown Valley Parkway.  A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail with no bail set.

Disturbance. 12:02 p.m. Thursday. 28000 block of Marguerite Parkway.  Sheriff deputies responding to a disturbance call arrested a 28-year-old man and took him into custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Follow up report. 7:21 a.m. Thursday. 23200 block La Glorieta. A 21-year-old man was arretd and taken into custody at Orange County Jail and was released after he posted bail.

Traffic stop. 8:09 p.m. Wednesday. Estanciero Dr and Marguerite Pkwy. A 44-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was taken into custody at Central Men's Jail and was released after he posted bail.

Traffic accident-non injury. 7:33 p.m. Wednesday. 23700 block Brasilia Street. Sheriff deputies responding to a traffic accident arrested a 47-year-old man and took him into custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Warrant arrest. 12:21 p.m. Wednesday. 21100 block Cedar Lane. Sheriff deputies arrested a 26-year-old man for an outstanding warrant and took him into custody at Central Men's Jail with no bail set.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 11:24 a.m. Wednesday. 0 block Arcata Drive. The father of a 9-year-old girl said a man wearing a cowboy hat and driving an old, blue pick-up truck approached his daughter as she was playing on their driveway.

Resisting arrest. 5:31 a.m. Wednesday. Shadow Ridge and Sandpiper. Sheriff deputies arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of resisting arrest and took him into custody at Orange County Jail and was released after posting bail.

Traffic stop. 1:13 a.m. Wednesday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Vallejo.  A 43-year-old man was arrested durng a raffic stop and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail where he was cited and released.

Traffic stop. 10:24 p.m. Tuesday. Alicia Parkway and Via Aurora. A 25-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop and was taken into custody at the Musick Facility and was released by the court for undisclosed reasons.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 8:36 p.m. Tuesday. 27600 block Napoli Way. A caller said a person riding in an SUV took out a sledgehammer after parking at Bathgate Elemetary, possibly to commit mischief on the school grounds. But the person left promptly after seeing the informant on her cell phone.
