A 39-year-old San Clemente man will go on trial Wednesday, facing charges that he raped two women during a bizarre "spiritual cleansing" ritual in a Santa Ana motel room that involved raw eggs.

In connection with his alleged first victim, Alberto Flores Ramirez is charged with one felony count each of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and sexual penetration by foreign object by force. In connection with his alleged second, he is charged with one felony count each of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and attempted forcible oral copulation.

If convicted, Ramirez is facing a maximum penalty of 75 years to life in state prison.

Ramirez met whom the Orange County District Attorney’s office is referring to as Jane Doe No. 1 through an online dating service, according to a D.A. press release. He went to meet the 33-year-old at a Santa Ana McDonald’s on April 3, 2012.

“Ramirez is accused of telling Jane Doe No. 1 that he could help her to bring her children to California from Mexico by performing a spiritual cleansing on her to get rid of her negative vibes,” says a D.A. press release.

The two reportedly went to a Santa Ana motel room, where Ramirez allegedly rubbed raw eggs on Doe’s body and fondled her, officials said.

“When the victim attempted to cover herself with the comforter from the bed, Ramirez is accused of jumping on top of the victim and restraining her,” according to the news release. “Jane Doe No. 1 struggled to get away and the defendant is accused of digitally penetrating the victim and then strangling her. He is accused of threatening Jane Doe No. 1 that she had to stop fighting and then forcibly orally copulating and raping the victim.”

After Ramirez drover her back to her car, the victim called 911 and the Santa Ana Police Department investigated.

A week later, Doe lured Ramirez back to Santa Ana, where police were waiting to arrest him, officials said.

After the first arrest was well publicized, a second victim came forward, according to the D.A. Her allegations stem from a similar incident that happened two months before Jane Doe No. 1’s.

Ramirez met Jane Doe No. 2, a 49-year-old from Las Vegas, on Facebook, and they began to communicate via text. He instructed her to visit and gave her a shopping list of items to buy for her spiritual cleansing, including ammonia and eggs, the D.A. alleges.

The two allegedly met at the same Santa Ana motel as Jane Doe No. 1. After Jane Doe No. 2 removed her clothes, the D.A. alleges that Ramirez poured ammonia over her head, disoriented her.

“He is accused of then removing his clothes and unsuccessfully attempting to force Jane Doe No. 2 to orally copulate him. The defendant is accused of forcibly orally copulating the victim and then forcibly raping her as she struggled to get away,” the press release states.

Jane Doe No. 2 left the area with a friend who had accompanied her. She did not report the assault until after news of Ramirez’s arrest was publicized in April 2012.

Where on earth does one find these people? California has been known since the 'sixties as the land of fruits and nuts, but for a woman to go to a motel room with a strange man, take her clothes off and allow herself to be anointed with ammonia and eggs makes one wonder how anyone who has been alive for the past forty years can possibly be ignorant of the cult-like practices of California's spiritual "healers."

From the OCWeekly: "Ramirez, 39, of San Clemente, met a 33-year-old married woman through the Badoo social networking website". This woman is going to have some credibility problems. Besides, what else is she going to tell her hubby-poo?
