Skateboarder Arrested After Bringing His Own Beer to Bar

Police say a skateboarder held a knife while a bartender asked him to leave a Mission Viejo bar.

A 21-year-old skateboarder was arrested Wednesday night after he brought his own beer to a Mission Viejo bar.

Police were called around 11 p.m. after Lucas Christie was spotted trying to drink his own beer on the patio of , Police Sgt. William McGovern said.

The bartender said Christie was scraping his knife against the wooden railing when he was asked to leave. He did leave, McGovern said.

When police arrived, they found out where he was by asking people nearby. He was found, a report was written, and he was taken to jail on a misdemeanor charge of brandishing a weapon.

Christie is still being held on $500 bail.
