Take a Bite Out of Crime Tonight

Remember McGruff? National Night Out is hosting crime prevention rallies in several Orange County cities Tuesday night.

The group behind the "McGruff—Take a Bite Out of Crime" campaign is hosting rallies across Orange County Tuesday night.

National Night Out will bring crime and drug prevention tips to , and Mission Viejo in separate events.

Fountain Valley's event starts at 5 p.m. It's being held at the (16400 Brookhurst St.). The Bacon Mania food truck, Fountain Valley Police officer Joe Zane and his partner Benny, a Czechoslovakian shepherd, will all be there.

In Mission Viejo, the event takes place from 5-8 p.m. in the at 25601 Jeronimo Rd. Target is raffling free prizes, and information about home security, crime scene investigation and more will be available.

Lake Forest hosts the event at , 22651 Cherry Ave., starting at 4 p.m. There will be live entertainment and free food.
