Trial Date Set for Accused Child Molester

Omar Alirio Guzman of Mission Viejo is accused of molesting three girls under age 11.

A trial date has been set for Omar Alirio Guzman, a Mission Viejo man .

The trial is scheduled to begin June 25. It may be further delayed, Orange County District Attorney's office spokesperson Farrah Emani said Wednesday morning.

Prosecutors say Guzman performed oral sex on a 5-year-old from Dove Canyon in 1995 while he worked as a house cleaner. They say he also molested a 9-year-old and a 10-year-old in 2009 and 2010 who were visiting his relatives.

Guzman faces 10 felonies. He has pleaded not guilty to all of them.

He has been held in jail on $1 million bail since he was arrested in Dec. 2010.

He could be sentenced to up to 135 years or life in prison if convicted on all charges.
