UPDATE: Manhunt for Mission Viejo Robbers

Police continued the search Friday for two men suspected of helping tie up, beat, shock and rob a young Mission Viejo couple inside their Promenade Apartments home.

On Thursday Michael Vincent Ginger, 23, of Laguna Niguel, pled not guilty to 22 felonies related to the attack, which was the result of "a deal gone bad," Police Sgt. Sandra Kirsch said.

Here's what happened according to police. Three men in their early 20s carrying pistols and a stun gun entered a couple's unlocked apartment around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Kirsch said. Police do not release the names of victims of violent crimes.

Once inside the three men tied up the couple with electrical cord and shoe laces, shocked the boyfriend and hit him in the back of the head with the butt of a pistol, Kirsch said.

The attackers then took $400 cash, two wallets, two cell phones and 8 to 10 new pairs of Nike Air Jordan tennis shoes, Kirsch said.

At 9 a.m. Tuesday the 20-year-old girlfriend flagged down a nearby deputy to report the crime. At 6 p.m. Tuesday in Mission Viejo police arrested Ginger, who the boyfriend identified as one of the attackers. Ginger was on probation.

When he was arrested, Ginger "was in possession of some of the stolen property," Kirsch said. He was also with his mother, she said.

Here are descriptions of the two suspects at large:

• Suspect 1: white male, 20-25 years old, 6’3”, 180 lbs., buzzed blonde hair, wearing dark clothing and a small moustache
• Suspect 2: white male, 25 years old, 5’8”, 160 lbs., wearing a black beanie and dark clothing with some chin scruff.

Police urge anyone with information on the suspects to contact them at 714-628-7170.

Kirsch was confident police will find the remaining suspects.

"It’s just a matter of time," she said.
