Woman Says She's Packing Heat on Via Pera

What crime incidents were reported in your neighborhood? Find out here. The following is a selection of calls from Mission Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from Sept 6-8.

A caller walking around the 26000 block of Via Pera said two women were arguing. One of the women, who had a buzz haircut and a tattoo behind her ear abd wearing gym shorts and knee-high socks, told him she was carrying a gun while reaching into her pants.

The disturbance report was made around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday.

No weapons were seen.

Burglary report. 9:13 a.m. Thursday. 26500 block of La Alameda.

Burglary alarm—audible. 4:52 a.m. Thursday. 27700 block of Vista Del Lago.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 3:10 p.m. Wednesday. Los Alisos Boulevard and Jeronimo Road. Sheriff's deputies responding to a suspicious-person report arrested a 89-year-old attorney and took him into custody at the Orange County Jail, where he was cited and released.

Assist outside agency. 10:37 a.m. Wednesday. Alicia Parkway and Olympiad Road. A caller said a baby locked inside a silver Lexus that was parked in front of Subway was in distress.

Drunk in car. 10:18 p.m. Tuesday. Alicia Parkway and I-5. A 23-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody at the Orange County Jail and was released when he posted bail.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 8:03 p.m. Tuesday. Alicia Parkway and Olympiad Road. Police arrested a 19-year-old man after a woman who was running around Mission Viejo Lake reported him jumping out and grabbing her backside. He was placed into custody at Orange County Jail and was released when he posted bail.

Drunk in public. 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Marguerite Parkway and Estanciero Drive. A caller asked police to check for a drunken man with blonde hair and a green hat who was sitting in a Chevrolet Suburban with a shattered rear window.
