Young Mission Viejo Woman Killed in Car Crash
Rachel Branson, 20, died Saturday in Costa Mesa.
A young woman from Mission Viejo died Saturday morning in a Costa Mesa car crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Rachel Branson, 20, died immediately after her Honda Civic slid down an embankment, hitting a tree, the CHP report said. She was traveling on the south 55 past Baker Street.
The CHP was investigating what caused the crash, but said alcohol wasn't believed to be a factor.
