As we look ahead to November’s general election, Mission Viejo Patch is devoted to bringing you the information you need about every race in town. Here’s our start on the candidates and issues we'll be covering as November draws near.

U.S. Congressman John Campbell is in the newly created 45th Congressional District. But he's not alone. Irvine Mayor Sukhee Kang debut and will put on a tough campaign.

In the 73rd Assembly District, Diane Harkey took a commanding lead in the primaries with nealry 70 percent of the vote. But rival Jim Corbett, known for his First Amendment fight with a student over allegedly irreligious comments, says he'll be in November.

There's also the ongoing saga of Laguna Niguel's Orly Taitz, who claims her U.S. Senate primary loss to Dianne Feinstein and Elizabeth Emken may have been caused by vote tampering.
