Crown Valley On-ramp to be Closed 4 Days

Planning to head south on the 5 Freeway between Dec. 10 and Dec. 14 from Crown Valley Parkway?

Then it's time to start making new plans. The city says the southbound onramp will be closed from midnight Dec. 10 to midnight Dec. 14 to widen Crown Valley. Here's more from the city:

Mission Viejo motorists can access the I-5 freeway by taking southbound Marguerite Parkway to Avery Parkway as an alternate route.

The City will post electronic message boards on southbound Marguerite and westbound Crown Valley Parkway to alert motorists of the closure.

Drivers coming from Laguna Niguel or traveling westbound on Crown Valley near I-5 may access the I-5 freeway by using the following alternate routes:

1. Drive north on Greenfield Drive and take the 73 toll road to the I-5 freeway (there is no toll for this portion of the toll road).
2. Drive south on Cabot Road to Paseo de Colinas then turn left.  Take Paseo de Colinas and turn left onto Camino Capistrano.  Take a left onto Avery Parkway and right onto the I-5 south on-ramp.
