Learn Your Rights at the Fair Housing Clinic

A fair housing clinic is coming to Mission Viejo Nov. 29.

The Fair Housing Foundation will host a walk-in clinic for residents with housing issues from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. November 29 at the Norman P. Murray Community Center.

A housing counselor will be on hand to discuss housing issues with residents such as landlord/tenant disputes, lease agreements, discrimination, repairs, evictions, security deposits, disability modifications, rent increases, occupancy issues and more. The service is free and open to the public.

The Fair Housing Foundation serves Mission Viejo residents. The foundation is contracted by the city and receives funds through the Community Development Block Grants.  It educates folks about Fair Housing rights and responsibilities through workshops, trainings, and community events.  FHF provides mediation and counseling services through a housing assistance hotline 1-800-446-FAIR and walk-in clinics.  It also investigates issues of discrimination related to housing.
