Flu Kills 50 More Californians This Season

Another 50 people have been killed by the flu in California, bringing this season's total flu deaths to 95, according to the state health department. Three of the dead have been children.

In Orange County, four people have been confirmed dead from causes related to the flu, said Dr. Ron Chapman, director of the California Department of Public Health.

Another 51 deaths that may be flu-related are being investigated, he said.

Signs of flu include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, headaches, body aches, chills and fatigue.

The best prevention for flu infection is vaccination, Chapman said.
