FUN: Trolley Tour Thru Christmas Displays in Mission Viejo

Tickets are selling out fast for the trolley tour of Mission Viejo's best-lit Christmas light houses.

Dazzling Christmas lights and wacky lawn ornaments are in store for riders of the 2012 Holly Trolleys rolling through Mission Viejo Friday and Saturday night.

Trolleys leave at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. each evening loaded up with holiday revelers. The cost is $10.

According to the city website, tickets are selling fast.

Here's a schedule:

  • Friday, Dec. 7: Reception at 5 p.m.; tour 6-7:30 p.m. Course #2965
  • Friday, Dec. 7: Reception at 7 p.m.; tour 8-9:30 p.m. Course #2966
  • Saturday, Dec. 8: Reception at 5 p.m.; tour 6-7:30 p.m. Course #2967
  • Saturday, Dec. 8: Reception at 7 p.m.; tour 8-9:30 p.m.  Course #2968

The reception includes live entertainment, holiday cookies, hot chocolate and a warm fire.  Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Guest tour guides include Councilman Dave Leckness.

"Ask for the Dave special tour," he said. "There will be several unscheduled stops."

It is a private organization, so what they do with their rules, is really their business.…Read More Homophobia is not against the law, especially since they are not involved in any discriminatory practices. That said, the fact they choose to air this out allows one to comment on it. As to why anyone would wanted their kid in such an organization is beyond me, but the tide is clear, and increasingly bigotry is being chipped away. So, to those kids who want to be part of this organization, I hope it brings them some joy. It is not as if there were no gays in the Boy Scouts before, it is just that they now can announce that they exist.

The last thing we need to do it bash their unions. We need to take a look at the leadership of the union but the vehicle of the union is all that stands between us and corporate greed.
