A Mission Viejo man who was once accused by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission of fraudulently inflating penny stock values has wound up on a list of the state's biggest tax avoiders.

Jacob Canceli and his wife, Melanie, are in the company of celebrities like Pamela Anderson and companies like On the Border Mexican Grill, all of whom have not paid their state taxes, according to the state franchise tax board.

According to the state, the Cancelis owe $566,666.61 in taxes, putting them at 106 on the list of the state's 250 biggest tax avoiders.
