O.C. Councilman Accused of Being Deadbeat Dad

A north Orange County councilman is charged with lying on state forms to avoid child support.

An Orange County councilman has been accused of using a fake name on his driver's license to avoid paying child support.

Sangjin Miller Oh, 48, was elected to the Buena Park city council in 2010. Now county prosecutors have charged Oh with six felony counts of perjury.

The district attorney says that Oh applied for a license under the name "Robert Oh" without revealing that he had applied for a license under a different name, which is a felony. He is also accused of failing to disclose that his other license had been suspended, also a felony.

This is not the first time Oh has been accused of lying.

During his 2010 campaign he was accused of lying about his age on his voter registration and other documents. He was also criticized for amending his financial statements three times.

According to his LinkedIn site, Oh is chief executive officer at Ohson Properties, a real estate developer. His campaign site says that Oh is CEO for Town and Country Financial.
