Orly Taitz Gets Booed at Conservative Event

The crowd at a major political conference wasn't interested in the South County lawyer's birther claims.

Orly Taitz got no love at the year's biggest conservative gathering.

After she interrupted a Conservative Political Action Conference panel discussing Islam to bring up President Barack Obama's citizenship, the South Orange County attorney and sometimes-dentist was booed and called "inappropriate."

Taitz has operated dental offices in Mission Viejo and Rancho Santa Margarita. She is best known for filing multiple lawsuits against Obama that seek to remove him from office.

But Pamela Geller, blogger for Atlas Shrugged, didn't want to hear about Taitz's birther claims. First, Geller told Taitz the panel had enough topics of substance to discuss. When Taitz pressed her point, Geller dismissed her as "inappropriate."

Taitz also squabbled with the panel moderator, who represented breitbart.com. She asked why the website never covered the birther controversy. The moderator told her the late Andrew Breitbart would agree with the editorial decision not to cover birther issues.

She began to tell him he could not speak for Breitbart, who died last year of heart failure. He responded:

"No no no. Andrew was very specific on our site. We are not a birther site. So thank you very much."

CPAC was launched in 1974 with featured speaker Ronald Reagan. The conference draws thousands each year to discuss politics and rally for conservative causes.
