As City Hall prepares for its special 8:30 a.m. Memorial Day ceremony at the Civic Center Monday, the public should be aware of operating hours the same day. Facilities closed on Memorial Day include:
• City Hall – 200 Civic Center (location of the Memorial Day Ceremony)The Recreation and Tennis Centers will operate during the following hours on Memorial Day:
• Mission Viejo Library – 100 Civic Center (also closed on Sunday, May 26)
• Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center – 24932 Veterans Way
• Animal Services Center – 28095 Hillcrest (minimal staff will be available for emergencies only)
• Montanoso Recreation Center at 25800 Montanoso Drive – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center at 26887 Recodo Lane – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Marguerite Tennis Pavilion at 23840 Marguerite Parkway – 7 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Felipe Tennis Center at 27161 Nogal – CLOSED
