Capo Unified Says San Juan Hills Needs $1.4 Mil for Technology

The youngest school in Capistrano Unified, San Juan Hills doesn't have a long list of modernization needs yet. But it could use some high tech for the students.

Only two years old at the time of a review of all Capistrano Unified school properties, San Juan Hills High now needs $1.4 million in upgrades, almost all that in upgraded technology for students.

The district hired WLC Architects in 2009 to assess all of the schools’ needs in 2009. Since then, the report was updated for 2013 pricing. The district is facing $822 million worth of needs and only has about $44 million on hand to address them.

The total amount includes $66,000 in repairs and routine maintenance the district has put off the last several years, including paint and paving.
