This week students at Oxford Preparatory Academy in Mission Viejo took a break from the standard curriculum to study fun activities that suit their talents.
The student at Oxford Prep come from across Orange County, especially the Capistrano Unified School District region, for a charter school that focuses on multiple intelligence learning.
"We believe that every student is gifted," school spokeswoman Shannon Brown explained.
That means this week Oxford students with a knack for spatial relationships might end up designing clothes. Others with math skills may learn to build catapults. Still others with athletic abilities might go on hikes, jump rope or learn dance moves.
