Photos: Gold Medalist Kristi Yamaguchi Reads to Kids at MV Library

Yamaguchi signed copies of her new children's book "It's a Big World, Little Pig" at the library's Saddleback Room Tuesday evening.

Olympic gold medal figure skater, "Dancing with the Stars" champion and bestselling children's book author Kristi Yamaguchi met with young fans at the Mission Viejo Library Tuesday.

Yamaguchi, 40, read from her new book "It's A Big World, Little Pig," signed copies and took pictures with attendees at the library's Saddleback Room.

Illustrated by Tim Bowers, the book is a sequel to Yamaguchi's bestselling work, "Dream Big, Little Pig," which was No. 2 on the New York Times Bestseller List in March 2011.

At the event, Mission Viejo Councilmember Trish Kelley interviewed Yamaguchi about her life and her book. 

Sponsored by the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library, the book signing was part of the library's "Writers Present" series, where famous authors share their new books with city residents.
