VIDEO: School-Related Traffic Problems Vex Neighbors

Residents along Mirar Vista near Capistrano Valley High School are tired of inconsiderate students and parents who invade their neighborhood to find an alternate way into the school.

Someone calling themselves the Coronado Homeowners Association has posted a fairly slick video detailing the problems. The community is located on the north end of the school off Avery Parkway. The regular entrance and parking lots are off Via Escolar.

In the video, vividly pointed out with bright arrows are double parking, unsafe traffic conditions, trash and property damage.

The video ends by saying, “Thanks Capo,” referring to the Capistrano Unified School District.

In response, Marcus Walton, a district spokesman, said: “We always encourage parents and students to drive safely and respect the communities surrounding their schools.”
