Diego Is READY!

Our quiet, mannerly gentleman, Diego, is looking for a lap. This cuddle bug is about 5 years old and comes with some training already. The only reason Diego is still at the shelter is due to so many Chihuahua dogs everywhere looking for a home. Other than Pit Bulls, the Chihuahua is the breed that has become the second largest breed group of abandoned K9's at every shelter.  They often are independent and can become extremely attached to just one member of the household.  Our polite lap dog, Diego, would do best in a home with older children or even a retired person.  We tried to get a smile out of Diego but he's a bit depressed. Volunteers spend lots of time holding and playing with him but he is so completely ready for a home of his own, he's reserving his smiles for the big day. Come meet this sweet boy.
