Chloe Sutton Wins Women's 800 at Home in Mission Viejo

The swimmer earned her second-fastest time of the season at the Marguerite Recreation Center.

Mission Viejo olympian Chloe Sutton took first place in the Women's 800 Thursday evening at Marguerite Recreation Center, 27474 Casta Del Sol.

Sutton finished in 8:28.19, her second-fastest time of the season, according to swimswam.com.

The meet, which is being broadcast live by USA Swimming, will last through Sunday.

Sutton's training regimen includes 10,000 to 20,000 yards per day, 2-4 hours a day, 6 days a week.

At 16, Sutton was the first swimmer to perform in both open water and pools during an olympic tournament in 2008. In 2012, she competed in the 400-meter and 800-meter races.
