Menelik Watson Back in Practice for Oakland Raiders

An injury-heavy summer has kept the former Saddleback College Gaucho sidelined until Wednesday.

Former Saddleback Gaucho Menelik Watson was back practicing with the Oakland Raiders Wednesday following debilitating leg injuries.

Watson was scooped up in the second round of the NFL draft in July. Between Saddleback and the NFL, he was part of the Florida State University team that in 2012 took home the ACC Championship.

Calf and knee injuries have sidelined Watson in the preseason. He had arthroscopic surgery last month on his knee and was kept from playing four games, according to NBC Sports.

Watson has been tried as starting left tackle, a position he never played before entering the NFL.
