Here's more from Saddleback

Saddleback women's hammer thrower Julia Reedy broke the national junior college record on Friday at the Tiny Lister Invitational at Cal State Los Angeles. Reedy's toss of 58.56 meters broke the old record set by Saddleback's Liz Tepe last season.

Reedy had been improving in every meet and was within four feet of Tepe's mark heading into the meet on Friday. She then went out and shattered the record by over five feet, setting the new standard with a toss of 192' 1".

Tepe set the national record a season ago at the very same Tiny Lister Invitational when she threw the hammer 56.92 meters (186' 8") on April 14, 2012, breaking the old record set by Michelle Amete of Mesa College in Arizona in 2006.

Reedy is a sophomore thrower from Mission Viejo High School.
