Mission Viejo's Donothan Bailey Eyes Olympics

Berkeley's Donothan Bailey, formerly of Mission Viejo High School, is ready to take on the new season.

alum Donothan Bailey is gearing up for a new season competing on UC Berkeley's Golden Bears gymnastics team.

He's been recently interviewed, and the junior who posted a career-high 14.600 on rings in the NCAA Team Championships in 2010 is setting his sights higher.

Bailey wants to win an NCAA championship and eventually enter the olympics, he told a reporter for the college news site.

The Golden Bears are off to a good start, beating rival Stanford in their season opener Friday.

Bailey may actually be one of the last men to compete for Berkeley, as their chancellor announced in Sept. 2010 the men's gymnastics team will be ended due to budget cuts.
