Trabuco Hills Wins First Girls Water Polo Playoff Game

Mackenzie Baber scored eight goals to lead Trabuco Hills to its first girls water polo playoff victory, 19-3, over Santa Ynez in a CIF Southern Section Division 4 first-round game Thursday afternoon at Trabuco Hills High.

Amy Burrola scored the game's first goal with only 12 seconds off the clock to get things rolling for the Mustangs (18-10), runners-up in the Sea View League.

Katie Murar and Rose Richell each scored three goals and Jessie Vuozzo had seven saves in goal for Trabuco Hills, which plays host to top-seeded Harvard Westlake (24-2), a 23-2 winner over Sonora, in a quarterfinal match Saturday at 1 p.m.
