spends two to four hours a day in the pool. The 20-year-old is a long-distance swimmer and one of two American women competing in the 400-meter freestyle this weekend.

You'll have to wake up pretty early—or stay up very late—to see her in the qualifying round. It starts at 1:55 a.m. If you're up, you can watch it here.

In June, Sutton qualified by , with a time of 4:04:18. That's the fifth-fastest qualifying time in her division this year. It's about five seconds shy of the world record, set by Italy's Federica Pellegrini in 2009.

Sutton competed in the 10k marathon swim in the 2008 Olympics, which was held at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park in Beijing. She was the only American to qualify for the race, which lasted over two hours.

After swimming this weekend, Sutton will become the first swimmer ever to compete in both open water and a swimming pool in the Olympics.
