With music and barbecue, members of the Mission Viejo/Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge came together to memorialize the victims of the Joplin, MO, tornadoes.

The Elks have always donated in times of need. The network of clubs sent $330,000 to the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing, Mattson said.

"That's what the organization was founded upon," he said. "When we have disasters out here, other people help us. If you take a look at Joplin, they have people from New York and all over the place showing up and helping."
