Photos: Cops Play Servers at Chili's Bar and Grill

Chili's Bar and Grill in Mission Viejo hosted its first Tip-A-Cop event Tuesday evening, featuring Orange County Sheriff's Department staff volunteering time to serve patrons and help raise money for the Special Olympics.

"The Tip-A-Cop event was originated five years ago and has been a successful annual event at the Cypress Chili's," Mission Viejo Chili's Bar and Grill Manager Michelle McReynolds said.

McReynolds was the past manager at Cypress and now in Mission Viejo, she tries to make a difference in her new community.

"All the officers here are volunteers to support the cause," she said.

If an officer serving you dinner was not enough, the Orange County Sheriff's Department set up a demonstration area in the parking lot for children and adults to learn more about what local law enforcement does.
