Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour celebrated Barbie's 52nd birthday Wednesday afternoon in Mission Viejo.
"We wanted to do something special for Barbie's birthday because this is a place where people have their birthdays," spokesman Jeremy Law said.
Farrell's invited live Barbie and Ken "dolls" to get the children into the birthday spirit.
"We are really excited to see Barbie and Ken live," said Isabella Scott, 7.
For bringing their favorite Barbies, children were given a free scoop of ice cream from the specially crafted Farrell's Zoo, an 8-pound strawberry ice cream sundae topped with pink whipped cream and sprinkles.
"This is our first year celebrating Barbie's birthday," Law said. "Kids like Barbie. Why not celebrate as well?"
